Information used by the calculator

WhatBaht processes the pickup, destination, city, and optional device location you provide to estimate a route and fare. Device location is requested only after you tap the location button. Recent trips are stored locally in your browser and are not used to create an account or advertising profile.

External services

Route requests may use OpenStreetMap Nominatim and OSRM. Explore photos may be requested from Wikimedia projects and, when a curated image is unavailable, Google Places. Google photo requests are made by WhatBaht's server so the private API credential is not exposed. Those providers may receive technical request information such as an IP address under their own policies.

Storage and retention

WhatBaht records only an aggregate monthly count of Google photo loads to enforce the free allowance. It does not store Google photo references, contributor profiles, precise visitor locations, or a history of which visitor viewed which listing.

Your choices

You can decline location permission and use the city-center distance or enter route details manually. You can clear locally saved recent trips through your browser's site-data controls.
